Welcome to Pūtake.

 

Pūtake is the digital repository for entries from baptism, marriage, burial and confirmation registers in the ownership of the various Dioceses and Hui Amorangi of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand, and Polynesia - Te Hāhi Mihinare ki Aotearoa ki Niu Tīreni, ki Ngā Moutere o Te Moana Nui a Kiwa.  Pūtake is coordinated by The John Kinder Theological Library.

 

We ask that you are considerate of the personal nature of these records, use them with care and acknowledge the source of the record to Pūtake: John Kinder Theological Library.

 

Below are our terms and conditions.  You must read and accept these before using Pūtake.

 

Terms of Use

These terms and conditions apply to all users visiting the Pūtake site or registering for the Pūtake subscription content. These terms and conditions, together with any other legal notices or terms published on the Pūtake website, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and the John Kinder Theological Library concerning Pūtake . If you don't agree with any of these terms, you must not use Pūtake.

 

You may access Pūtake and use the content only for personal or professional research, and download content only as search results relevant to that research. For example, the download of the whole or material parts of any work or database is prohibited. Resale of a work or database or portion thereof is prohibited. Online or other republication of content is prohibited except as unique data elements that are part of a research project, including unique family history or genealogy and must not include re-publication of the images of Pūtake’s church register pages, to any other web site or genealogy database.   The Anglican Church is sensitive about and does not agree to any other church body using records of its members or former members for another church’s purposes.

 

The permitted downloaded content as above, may be downloaded onto your computer or device. When downloaded, the content remains subject to the limited use license contained in this Agreement. If you download or print a copy of the content for personal use, you must retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained therein. Bots, crawlers, spiders, data miners, scraping and any other automatic access tool are expressly prohibited. You agree not to circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with security related features of the Websites or features that prevent or restrict use or copying of any Content or enforce limitations on use of the Websites or Services or the Content therein.
