Here on Pūtake, you can access name lists from a range of sources. These include lists such as Clergy lists, student lists, missionary lists and more. These lists of names from published sources are free for anyone to access, and more will be added in the future.

What you can access via a subscription

Through our Subscription, you gain access to the full Pūtake collection. This includes entries in the baptism, marriage and burial registers of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia - Te Hāhi Mihinare ki Aotearoa, ki Niu Tīreni, ki ngā Moutere ō Te Moana Nui a Kiwa. These will be provided in accordance with the privacy act -  baptisms 100 years ago, marriages 80 years ago, and burials 50 years ago.

The site will build slowly as we have volunteer capacity to assist with the transcription of registers. If you would be interested in assisting with this project, please get in touch with us at library@kinderlibrary.ac.nz.

The registers are in the ownership of the Dioceses and Hui Amorangi of the Anglican Church.  Copyright may exist in these registers; please see the copyright statement for details of use.

We ask that you are considerate of the nature of these records, use them with care and acknowledge the source of the record to Pūtake: Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia - Te Hāhi Mihinare ki Aotearoa, ki Niu Tīreni, ki ngā Moutere ō Te Moana Nui a Kiwa.
